DJI Matrice 300 RTK VS 210: What is the Difference? – DSLRPros Official Blog

Learn about the differences between the Matrice 300 RTK and the Matrice 200 series. See the upgrades to the new DJI Matrice 300 RTK drone below. Not sure where to start? We here at DSLRPros are ready to assist you.

 Obstacle Sensing:

The Matrice 300RTK has 6 directional obstacle sensing and positioning. There are vision and infrared sensors on each of the 6 sides of the drone. These sensors are customizable meaning they can be tuned to set a min and max sensing distance allowing for greater safety in complex environments. These sensors can detect objects up to 131 feet away and work at up to 38mph.

The Matrice 200 series has obstacle avoidance sensors on the front, bottom, and top of the drone. These sensors are not as powerful as the ones on the M300. The forward vision system can detect obstacles from 2-98 feet away. The top infrared sensors can detect obstacles from 0-16 feet away. The front and top systems are not rated for detection at speed. The downward vision sensor uses an ultrasonic system that works from .33 to 16 feet away. The downward vision system detects at a max of 22 mph.

The Matrice 300 obstacle sensing system has dual cameras and infrared sensors on all 6 sides. These sensors can detect smaller objects and have auxiliary lighting to see objects at low light. The obstacle sensing system in the M300 RTK system is far superior.
