UAsidekick – The Future of LAANC Authorization

During our Northern California Public Safety event we got the chance to sit down and talk with Jason Cansler from UAsidekick. In this video, Jason highlights the importance and ease of filing NOTAMs, UOAs, and LAANC authorizations through UAsidekick.

UASidekick is a LAANC-connected app that is also integrated with the FAA Flight Service system.  Flight Service Stations provide air traffic briefings to 80,000 manned aviators every week to facilitate their understanding of weather, runway closures, as well as drone activity along their route of flight.

What is LAANC?

LAANC is the Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability, a collaboration between FAA and Industry. It directly supports UAS integration into the airspace. It provides access to controlled airspace near airports through near real-time processing of airspace authorizations below approved altitudes in controlled airspace.
